WHAT IS A CARBON FOOTPRINT?
Your carbon footprint is the total amount of greenhouse gas released in the production and consumption of all the goods and services you use. It accounts for the following six green house gas (GHG) emissions:
Carbon dioxide (CO2)
Nitrous oxide (N2O)
Sulphur hexafluoride (SF6)
HOW DO WE CALCULATE IT?
Our streamlined methodology uses targeted questions to collect product data, using straightforward language and a user-friendly interface to ease companies into the process. Using the information provided by you, we calculate the emissions generated through the making/using/disposal of your product ((kgCO2e per product unit) according to emissions databases.
We develop impact assessments based on the cradle-to-grave life cycle. This means that we analyse the product life-cycle from the period of raw material extraction to production, use, and waste disposal. Cradle-to-grave can also help you establish loyalty between your brand or product with the consumer - since the goal of the product is to keep it in the use cycle as long as possible.
